Setting up WhatsApp messages with new phone number

To enable WhatsApp messaging in PaxFlow, you first need to purchase WhatsApp credits through your subscription. Without credits, WhatsApp settings and messaging features won’t be available. You can purchase credits for as little as $10 to get started.

After adding credits you’ll need to connect your WhatsApp Business account first.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process step by step, from logging in with Facebook to setting up your business details and verifying your phone number. Just follow along, and you’ll be ready to send WhatsApp messages through PaxFlow in no time.

Watch the video tutorial or follow the steps below on how to connect your WhatsApp Business account.

Click on "Settings" and then click on "Message Settings"

In Message Settings, click on the "WhatsApp Settings - BETA" tab.

Click on Login with Facebook to start the process.

A pop up message will appear, click "I Understand - Connect Facebook"

Click on Continue as .... to advance to the next step.

And click on "Get Started" to start setting up WhatsApp

If you have an existing Business Portfolio, choose the one you intend on using for WhatsApp in PaxFlow from the dropdown.

Then click on "Next"

You must select "Start with a new WhatsApp phone number" and then click on "Next".

Selecting "Connect your existing WhatsApp Business App" will not work!

And then click on "Next"

If you don't have a WhatsApp business account select "Create a WhatsApp Business Account" and "Create a new WhatsApp Business profile"

Now you need to add the name of your WhatsApp Business account.

Choose the Category of your company

expand the "Hide options" to select your Timezone - Meta requires to select Timezone.

The selected time zone will be used for this WhatsApp Business account's billing and analytics. Your audience will not see this information on your WhatsApp profile.

Once all the information needed is filled out click on "Next"

You can choose to get a free WhatsApp number from Meta or use your own number.

A. Use a display name only (previously Get a free WhatsApp number)

For the quickest setup we recommend using "Use a display name only". If you choose this option Meta allows you to create a free virtual phone number during the setup process.

B. Add a new number

You first must prepare a new number that is compatible with WhatsApp Business Platform. You can contact PaxFlow sales if you'd like to buy a phone number that is compatible with the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Please note that you can not use an existing personal WhatsApps number or phone numbers already connected to a WhatsApp Business account (unless you disconnect them). We recommend using a new number because once registered on the WhatsApp Business Platform, this number cannot be used in the WhatsApp Business App anymore.

This guide will explain how to setup the connection using a new number. The process is the same when using the "Display name only" option with a free WhatsApp number except the verification process is done automatically on Meta and may take up to 24 hours (usually takes a few minutes).

Then click on "Next"

20. Click "Confirm"

while the accounts are being connected this screen will pop up.

Your new number is at the front of the text (Highlighted) so make sure to copy it for the next step - it will appear on your facebook business account once created.

And to finish the setup click "Finish"

Now you need to add the same phone number as you used during the setup and then reconfigure WhatsApp to finish the setup.

and click on "Register Phone Number"

It can take up to 24 hours for Meta to approve your WhatsApp account - the status will be shown as "Creating" while you wait for the approval.

Once approved, the status changes to "Online" and now you should have successfully added WhatsApp Business to your PaxFlow account.
