Pickups: frequently asked questions
Why wasn't a pickup created for my group today?
PaxFlow creates a pickup when you open the day in the Pickup planner, for each active group with bookings that have a pickup location. Check that the group is active and that its tour start times are selected. If a pickup was deleted for that day, PaxFlow won't create it again. Click Create pickup instead.
Why is a booking missing from the pickup?
Bookings without a pickup location aren't added automatically. Add them with Add passengers. A booking can also only be in one pickup per day, so check the group's other pickups.
Why wasn't a tour bus added to the pickup?
The group's Use tour vehicles as pickup vehicles setting is off.
The bus's tour starts before the pickup window, so there's no time for the pickup. The pickup card lists the bus and the reason.
Someone removed the bus from this pickup earlier. PaxFlow doesn't add it back.
The bus is already booked at that time.
What does "Not on tour any more" mean?
The bus was added from a tour, but no longer runs any of this pickup's tours, and guests or stops were already on it. PaxFlow keeps it so no plan is lost. Move its guests to another vehicle or remove it.
Why is a guest flagged?
The booking came in after planning and PaxFlow couldn't place it safely, for example because the bus was full or no vehicle serves its stop. Open the stop and put the booking on a vehicle.
Can the same bus do the pickup and then the tour?
Yes. A pickup that ends when the tour starts is not a double booking. Tour vehicles on a pickup end when their tour starts.
Do drivers get a second shift for the pickup?
No. When a tour bus drives the pickup, its crew work the pickup and the tour on one shift.
Can drivers change the route?
Only if you allow it under Settings → Enroute Settings → Pickup Stops. Then the crew of a vehicle can reorder its stops in Enroute.
Where are pickups shown?
In the Pickup planner and Pickup list, the resource calendar, and Enroute. Not in the departure calendar or daily departures.
