Under Shift Settings, you can manage how shifts are handled in PaxFlow. From here, you can control shift approvals, available shift notifications, default draft behavior, static shift locations, and how shift conflicts are managed to keep your scheduling organized and efficient.
Accessing Shift Settings
Click on Settings and then click on "Operations"
Shift Request Approval
The Shift Request Approval setting determines whether staff can immediately claim available shifts and submit time off, or if an operator must review and approve each request first. Enable or disable Require operator approval by sliding the toggle highlighted, depending on how you want shift requests to be handled.

Available Shift Notifications
Available Shift Notifications allows your staff to receive notifications when new shifts become available that match their position, location, and skills. you can enable or disable the notifications for available shifts by sliding the toggle highlighted.

Draft Creation Default
This setting controls whether newly created shifts are automatically published or saved as Drafts, allowing you to review them before making them available to your team. Enable or disable Default new shifts to draft by sliding the toggle highlighted.

Static Shift Locations
Static Shift Locations are locations that are not linked to a product but can still be assigned to shifts. These are useful for offices, meeting points, warehouses, or other internal locations. To create a new Static Shift Locations section, click Add location.
add a name for the new location.
and click on Create location to save it.
a success message appears and you can see the new static location.
To edit the location you can click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the location you want to update, and if you want to delete a static location, click the Delete (trash) icon next to the location you want to remove.
Shift Conflicts
The Shift Conflicts setting controls how PaxFlow handles overlapping shifts and bookings when assigning employees. You can choose to disable conflict checks, warn users when a conflict is detected, or block assignments that would create a scheduling conflict.
Disabled – PaxFlow will not check for scheduling conflicts.
Warn – PaxFlow will notify you when a conflict is detected, but you can still proceed with the assignment.
Block – PaxFlow will prevent assignments that create a scheduling conflict.
