Sending WhatsApp Messages to a Departure.

Easily send WhatsApp messages to passengers directly from the departures view in PaxFlow. Messages can be sent from the daily departures overview or the departure details view using pre-approved templates. You can also enable SMS fallback if a passenger doesn’t use WhatsApp and track delivery status through the message logs.

Click on "Departures" and then click "Daily departures"

Sending WhatsApp Message from Daily Departures

On the Departure you want to send WhatsApp message to, click on the "Actions" drop down then click on "Send Message" and choose "WhatsApp"

Choose the template you want to send to the departure - here we are choosing "Tomorrow's Tour"

Then you will get a preview of the template. Note that WhatsApp template content cannot be edited. Please create a new template instead. You can enable a SMS fallback message - in case your customer does not have WhatsApp, to do so click on the "Enable SMS fallback" checkbox.

Adding a fallback SMS

Then a text field appears where you can add the SMS fallback message, if you don´t want to add one just click on the "Enable SMS fallback" checkbox again and the text field disappears.

Next click on "Save & Continue"

Then you can see a list of the passengers you are sending the WhatsApp messages and how many of them have phone numbers listed to send a message to. Click on "Send" to send the WhatsApp messages.

A success message will appear "WhatsApp messages added to sending queue, see logs for more info."
