Our ticket scanner is a handy tool that quickly checks and validates tour tickets using barcodes or QR codes. It makes the check-in process faster and smoother, helping to get everyone on board and ready to enjoy the tour without any hassle.

Accessing the Ticket Scanner
Click on "Operations" and click on "Ticket Scanner".
then you will open up the Ticket Scanner
Using the Ticket Scanner
To start using the ticket scanner you need to select a departure. The date is pre selected for today but can be changed to another date if needed.
Scanning with an assigned resource.
You can scan passengers onto a recourse right away with the ticket scanner. This only applies if a resource has been added on the tour. Choose what resource you want to scan into to start scanning.
Once you have selected the tour you can start scanning tickets. It´s easy to keep track on the capacity for the resource and how many passengers are booked on the right hand side of the scanner.
Ticket Types
The ticket scanner can read both Barcodes and QR codes.
On PaxPortal an QR code is displayed with the Booking code reference. Passengers simply need to log into their PaxPortal to show a valid OR code.
Scanning Tickets
To scan any ticket simply point your scanner (phone camera or other scanner you have available) towards the Barcode/QR code and the scanner will automatically read the code once it locks in on it.
Once the scanner has locked in on a code it will show you this pop up window.
Once the scan is successful you can see on what resource the passenger has been assigned. click on "Continue" - This pop up window will also automatically close in a few seconds.
If a passenger has already been marked arrived then you will get a pop up warning window, you can always click on continue or just wait for the window to automatically close in a few seconds.
Searching by name in the ticket scanner
You can also search for a customer's name or booking reference in the search bar
and then click on the correct booking in the drop down to mark them arrived.
Unsigned booking forms
If a passenger has not filled out the booking form assigned to the departure a pop up opens up where the customers can scan the QR code to sing or you can send them via message the link by clicking on "Send PaxPortal Link to Phone Number"
A success message appears that you have sent the message
and then you can close the pop up. You can scan the ticket for this passenger again once they have signed the form to mark them as arrived.
End Scanning
When you have scanned all passengers click on "End Scanning"
You will get a pop up window that asks if you want to end scanning for the departure. You can click the check box for "Mark remaining pax as no-show" if there are any passengers that did not show up.
Make sure to click on "Confirm" to end scanning
A pop up window will indicate that Scanning is finished and will show you how many pax were scanned and how many were not scanned. Click on "Close" or the "X" to close this window.
