Adding an Intercom Chat to Your PaxPortal
With Intercom Chat, customers can contact your team directly from PaxPortal whenever they need help or have a question about their booking. Adding the chat to your portal provides a simple and convenient way to offer support without customers needing to leave the page.
Accessing the Chat Client
Click on "PaxPortal" and then click on "PaxPortal settings"
Next click "Chat Client" - you can also scroll down to the bottom of the page.
How to add Intercom Chat Client.
Click on "Intercom" under Chat Service.
How to find App ID in Intercom
Under settings click on Messenger
Next click on General tab.
Click on Keep your Messenger secure and add in your trusted domains.
Add inn *.paxportal.io to the list of trusted domains and then click on the Install tab.
Scroll down a little bit until you find the app_id: and copy it.
Adding the App ID in PaxPlow
Add the App ID into PaxFlow and turn the toggle on to publish the chat client.
Click on "Save" to save your chat client. A Success message will appear on the top right corner.

To access PaxPortal open up any booking and click on "Open on PaxPortal"
Let´s take a look at what it looks like on PaxPortal. Click the chat bubble.
The chat window will open up and now your customers can send you a message via Intercom chat on PaxPortal.
